BarodaNet is a project funded by VETF (a non-profit foundation based in United States and India) to create an Internet ecosystem for the greater community of the city of Baroda, India.
Key beneficiaries of BarodaNet are: Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, K-12 schools and other organizations in Baroda. BarodaNet is embarking on an advanced high-speed fiber-optics based network, connecting the university, local schools and other institutes to the Internet. Besides providing the internet infrastructure, BarodaNet will promote education of teachers and students. It will foster improved organizational efficiency through collaboration, sharing and leveraging of knowledge.
